I sent one a message some time ago, but no signal.
I still each day try to send some message either to a Facebook group or website. But no more aggressive in this for now...
I think I've done what I could in this occasion to advertise the game, I did also a paid Facebook advert.

I just received the very first frames of Dan as ninja, and I would like to share with you here.

Dreamcast community made me feel at home more than any other one :), and also is the biggest backer by far. So thank you guys very much and very much like you I am looking to play Shadow Gangs on the Dreamcast one day I hope.

Here is 2 frames, still sketches but show Dan as ninja. One frame is missing the sword, something I'll let the artist know for the next revision.

There is a small update on the website about this if anyone wanted to have a look.

Thank you; I'll contact them now.
Although, I think now that the Shadow Gangs kickstarter will surely fail.

Thank you very much!

I think I lost hope now of this kickstarter succeeding, there is just not many people backing the game and will probably cancel it near the end.

But, that will not be the complete end of Shadow Gangs.

I have now enough feedback and will start making a new version of the game that will enhance and fix all the shortcomings, add the new ninja form, and implement the magic attacks and the special weapons.

The next demo will have Dan feature complete.

The main artist is now doing the ninja form, and all the sprites that were done by the other artist will be replaced by the main artist work (man with knives, gunman, biker type and hostage will be replaced, and enhanced).

I will put a complete and detailed list of changes/additions/enhancements on the website, and work on this already started actually on the 28th, 3 days after the Kickstarter. I didn't want to say this at the time to give the Kickstarter some chance, but now I think there is no need to hold.

I think I understand now what the new generation of gamers will be excited about, because just an enhanced Shinobi won't cut it.

I will still keep an arcade mode for those who know and want to feel the coinp op sensations again (coin op mode won't have the special weapons).

I want also to say something about the Dreamcast version, I am really excited to have Shadow Gangs running on it, I actually made the engine in a way that adding different platforms is part of the design.
My plan was for the xbone and PS4 versions which I am comfortable with and had experience on both.
But this now shifted towards the Dreamcast and it will be a great challenge for me and actually will be good for the Shadow Gangs engine as it will benefit from the optimisation that are going to come from the Dreamcast version.

If Shadow Gangs Kickstarter succeeds, it's great as it will speed up the developement, if it fails which is now like a certainty then a new better Shadow Gangs will be on it's way.

After the new version is done, I'll do again a final Kickstarter to implement the whole game.

It won't be easy but I am ready, and very excited to continue this adventure.

Just to say that aside from the stated enhancements, there is something that keep coming back in relation to the game graphics.
There is a sizeable number of people that like the low res look, the game will still be in HD but there will be a number of full screen shaders that will filter the graphics and introduce a retro look and more options for people who like it this way.
(something like the mame filters).

This will be part of the Special effects enhancements which will bring a lot of shaders usage for bullets, hit effects and explosions etc... as well as the full screen ones.

It will be part of the Kickstarter version of the game, and also will be part of the upcoming demo version that will address the shortcomings presented in here, and those in the Kickstarter page one by one.

I'll also make an update regarding this on the Kickstarter page.

I like the lower res look, as it reminds me of the Neo Geo.

Well what might certainly drive up excitement is considering 2-4 player online co-op (or versus battle?) with a crazy insane difficulty just for said 2-4 player coop. Perhaps voice chat also

It's just an idea. But keep up the cool work

Thank you.
2 player offline and online coop might be interesting, something like in bad dudes.
I was wondering about it but if it is to be implemented, it will be after the single player that is the real game is done completed.
So more an addition than being part of the design.

4 players I don't think it's feasible. 4 players on the same screen won't be compatible with this type of game.
