So it appears the process of reverse engineering the XBAND modem has made some break through recently, finally being able to get the modem to connect. Hopefully this should be the start of fully reviving XBAND which could mean Sega Genesis XBAND would be back online (Genesis Game Nights?) + the possibility of Sega Saturn Japanese XBAND could be fully revived too

Re: Interesting XBAND News
Oh wow this is awesome progress! XBAND for Genesis would be cool too.
From what I'm reading it was the same service for SNES/GENESIS, so maybe this is progress concerning both.
Gave me something new to read about ^_^ Kinda shocked I never heard about this back then.

"Instead of teaser screens, lets actually take some time out to answer some questions. Ask questions below, and Victor and Myself will do our best to answer them"
^There has been some good reading from this.
It's a great place for information if anyone is following the project.
Also fun watching all the VHS rips of play tapes on Youtube ^_^

I've wanted to get one actually. I have the Super Famicom so I'de need to modify the cart, which would be fairly simple to mount. Price difference between the Genesis and SNES XBands is pretty big. I can only imagine how much the price goes up as word gets out / progress is madencman071 wrote:I need to go ahead and get one of these for my SNES...sadly I don't have a genesis
