Backup game but pressed like original

Post by Axel85 »

Hi , I just found this oddity on eBay. As you can see is a copy of worldwide soccer but it's pressed like an original game , not a burned disc . Have you ever found something like this?

How do you know it's pressed?

I had CDR's back in the day that were like this. Didn't have many of them but they existed.

this is how the original GD-ROM disk looks like, it has a ring between the low and high density area

You can see it's pressed cause it's silver and has something written on the most inside ring . I never seen silver cdr like this , and I had blue ones , black , intense green and gold . This is also not showing any written area . I know about the original ring between the low and high density area, but here is not present. So maybe someone back in the days were pressing dreamcast backups

I've a CDR next to me right now with text where that text is so that doesn't mean much.

Either way, it's not outwith the possibility that someone pressed a few hundred of these somewhere. Esp after images became selfboot.

I have several pressed pirated CDs:

They have the name of the game engraved on the disc.

It's a bootleg. There are cd burners that you can print images on top of the disc at home. That is clearly what this is.
