Cool. Got the same Roland monitors for my PC... ^^

Do yours pick up audible feedback noise from the computer when on loud volume?...

Like when you use the scroll button on your mouse?...

LaCie CRT. I got lucky, it's the best you can get.

The DC is pieced together from parts off Ebay:
CD drive from some guy in Russia
Motherboard is a refurb from a seller in Japan
BBA from Japan (cheapest seller)
Battery is a replacement for a BMW a car key chain some guy is selling from Netherlands.
Everything else (case, fan etc.) is a dead Dreamcast from UK.

The post had fun throwing the parcel with the motherboard around, I had to solder back components onto it; repair traces. Watching Louis Rossmann repairing circuit boards helped a lot.

electron22blueIV ? Still got the hood?...

If that's the one, than it's a damned fine screen indeed.

Just too bad it has this faint line in the middle though. Keeps it from being the perfect monitor.

That, and the fact that it's bulky as fuck...

I'd like to share the setup I finished last week.

I changed Dreamcast power supply by a PicoPSU, to keep everything less hot. I 3D printed the base for the new PSU using the models available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2308511. In a really hot day (~31 celsius), I measured 35 celsius in the main metal plate and 57 degress in a specific transformer of PicoPSU, what seems OK, since air comes out of the fan much cooler. I also got a bonus: this console is now 110v~220v and 50/60hz, so it will work anywhere in the world :p

I made a cheap battery mod with regular 1.2v rechargeable batteries - uglier, but easier to replace if necessary.

I use an earlier version of GDEMU, so found out a way to fix it better in the main board, so I can turn the console upside down without problem. Additionally, I used a SD card extension so I can switch cards 1) without forcing the motherboard contact and 2) without the need of putting my hand inside the console. I can play with the case closed without problem. With the extensor, I made it difficult to access GDEMU button, but it makes no difference since GDMenu makes it useless.

I liked the SD extension idea, good one!

Now you just have to clean that DC.
