Thank you. I might post a sd video of my failings and successes.

The only retail game I've had Any interest in trying was quake 3. Got the file from isozone, put it on the sd, and it booted when I prompted it to. No prOblems at all. I did not need to convert anything

Damn ! Been a week, I hope FBI isn't messing with servers !

If so, the hell with sd card for me then because NOBODY else hosts sd isos.

No, FBI isn't interfering or anything. If they were, the site wouldn't be standing still. This happens to the ISO Zone every few months it seems like. It'll be resolved in a few days. SD-ISOs really don't get shared around much. That's the best source I know for them.

Oh, and;

You don't need a flashable chip to use the region changer disc. You do need to open up the Dreamcast and wire two points together, though.

So far it's been 7 days of file server errors. I'm pissed.

Interesting, I have 2 sd card readers and 2 sd cards. For months I've been trying to get both to work.

I was told "just put homebrew game on sd card, put in sd reader, use dreamshell 4 cd, open file manager, click sd and you'll see game and click yes".

Guess what I put every homebrew game on it, I put retail games that supposedly work using ip bin 0000 and readme, and NOTHING worked. Dreamshell didn't even recognize ANYTHING on sd card whether just 1 homebrew file or a bunch of them.

So, I took the sd card reader out of my dc serial port and smashed it with a hammer. I still have the old sd card reader, same problem it doesn't play anything.

I'm frustrated with choppy instructions on how to use this or the fact it's so easy for everyone else and works, so I simply smashed my new sd card reader with a hammer. In my opinion it's a hoax because there is no way 2 sd card readers or my sd cards are bad because I checked.

Operator error? :P

You might want to check into some therapy solutions for that rageahol..

Seriously though, they are so easy to use and hassle free.
