Best independent dreamcast games

1.What would you guys say are the best independent commercially released homebrew games on the dreamcast ?

2.How do they compare to any official dreamcast games or similar games released on other systems ?

3.Which TBA dreamcast games are you most looking forward to ?
(Saber riders , Ameba , Xenocider, Alice dreams tournament)

Xenocider and Dux 2 are what I'm most looking forward to. I also backed Saber riders.

Based on what I have played, in order of priority, Sturmwind, Gunlord, The ghost Blade and Neo xyx.
I still have a few more to buy, Last hope pink bullets is frustrating and RRR Racing is too retro and frustrating imo.

i have only played pier solar so far. got more on the way and still more to get. pier solar is good. about what i expected for a 2d rpg. for an indie release its VERY good.

most anticipated indie games for me would be: elysian shadows, ameba, xenocider, alice dreams tournament. and its been out but i want sturmwind.

1.
Personally for me the best commercially released indie up to this date is definitely Rush Rush Rally Racing. The guys at Senile Team did a stellar job making this game, it's a highly addictive unforgivable racing game with lots of extra unlockables and even has 'achievements'.

2.
This game could have easily been released as a official licensed product back in the day and compared to other racings games on the system, this game is unique in both gameplay and presentation.

3.
I'm very excited to see Alice Dreams Tournament completed, but I'm especially anticipated for Age of the Beast.. the DNF of the Dreamcast ;) It's done, when it's done. Hopefully this one will finally see the light in 2016. Also my interest is peaked for Xenocider, seeing that will be the first fully 3D indie effort on Dreamcast. And well actually every other project in the works is something I look forward too, lol.

Definitely Sturmwind! could be easily an xbox live arcade game... and one of the best ones!
Pier Solar, Volgarr, Wind and Water!!

I was really hyped about Little Ninja, but.... well. Looking forward to Saber Riders, also the guys behind Sturmwind hinted a new DC release.

@Wombat: Thanks! You are too kind! ^-^

@mazonemayu: We still have every intention, within reason of course, to keep supporting the Dreamcast. :)

Sturmwind is better than some officially released Shmups. It plays smooth, has a solid challenge. A unique, at least to DC Shmup, life/weapon system. It just feels polished. If it truly was an "In development" Jaguar game, that explains it.

Volgarr is just... awesome. It is not necessarily a 128 bit game, but it is Rastan's spiritual sequel with arcade fps and pallette.

I want Alice Dreams Tournament the ost because I love Bomberman and anything compared to that is high up there.
