I know that Rayman 2 had a website option and I don't see it listed in this thread. Idk where to search for it so I'll leave this post here incase anyone stumbles across it.

VMU files for bonus levels missing (only VMI markers archived) but these are quite easy to find elsewhere. Lots of missing pictures though.

Due to the toy racer server software has been release thanks to Frederick Raynal and Frantz Cournil donation....

is there any possibilities to contact them asking for if they have any toy racer website backup? (toyracer.dream-key.com)

It´s a idea, what do you think?

Thank you!!! What´s the web address of this? is there more dreamarena stuffs?

I think that if we can recover more dreamarena website better. Recovering toy racer website or another website it would be a great news.

I´m looking for new dreamcast website on internet. If I found something, I will post it quickly.

See ya!!

Recently I ´ve contacted with the previous ex-dreamarena worker to ask for any website backup and if is possible to share with us. This is the answer:

hi,

I love what you guys are doing on the Dreamcast communities - it's great to see that the DC is still alive and well and being played by so many people!

I do have backups of a number of Dreamarena websites - primarily the front-end HTML, Flash and design assets - enough to get a basic version of the site up and running. The website application itself was developed by a company called ICL and ran on a proprietary CMS - I don't have backups of this, or the database - which means I don't have all the content of the site, ie. game reviews, products etc.

My personal opinion is that it would be great to share these files with you, however the copyright for these things remains with SEGA, not me, so I'm afraid without their permission I'm not going to be able provide them to you.

Perhaps you have someone at SEGA that you can talk to about getting their permission?

cheers,

Luc

I think that it is good news, because we know now that exists more material that can be used to recover more dreamarena website, but we need the permission of Sega for be able to use them.

I don´t have any e-mail to contact them. I understand that is copyrighted material but It´s a pity that all this material and work remains in a "box".

Any idea ?

Great work jial!

I'm wondering why they need permission to release websites file. Especially considering it was publicly viewable on the web and could have been archived by the wayback machine (then it's fair game for public use right? ;) ). I'm almost certain Sega cares nothing about their old Dreamcast game websites. I don't think Sega has anyone left that even remembers they existed hahah. But kidding aside, sounds like Luc would have to contact someone at Sega and get an ok to release copyright material. I have never heard of Sega or any corporation ok'ing that type of decision.

Sega ain't too friendly with the community these days. If anyone has a contact that we could get him in touch with that would be great.

The websites that he has are from dreamarena and not accesible by wayback machine, ie toyracer.dream-key.com , jetsetradio.dream-key.com and so on

It´s a shame that sega don´t be more collaborative with the dreamcast community. It would be good marketing for them.

The good side is that if we get the permission from sega, we will access a lot of material very valuable.

so close and yet so far :( :( :(

Nice work on the seaman website.
Its cool to know people still do have stuff like this backed up. But lame they're worried about copyright issues, someone uped the whole beta for system shock. Hopefully as the console nears 20 years old, other devs release the stuff they have (maybe more beta's we dont know about)

I dont see anybody getting their door kicked in for releasing a website thats been down for ten years. Like pulse said, nothings being pirated
