Dreamcast wont turn on

I bought a Dreamcast today and i hooked it up and it wont turn on, the orange light doesn't even turn on, what should i do?

I would return it.

But, if you want to keep it, then here are some things you can do.

1. Gently unscrew and lift the power supply up off the base/motherboard. You'll notice a series of about 6-8 long pins about 2/3rds down from the back panel that the power supply used to sit over and through. Clean the tips with alcohol and a cotton swab. Then gently push the pins back towards the back panel, bending them slightly, be careful not to snap them or break the connection to the base. Replace the power supply back over the pins and try powering on again. There was a video where a guy takes a steel wool scouring pad to it (it looked painfully brutal), so you CAN use that method but I do not recommend it.

If this does not help, I have a link to a video guide to take the Dreamcast apart and check the fuse.
