PowerVR RTX Is Real!!!. Holy Shit!!! Zach Morris Delivers!!!

Stu, where are you now kid? You should have known better than to go up against a 36 year veteran of the industry. You spent the last few years discrediting Mr. Morris and now that he's finally been proven to be legit, you can't show your face in public anymore. Neither you nor your buddy Dr. Salbutamon.

Let the countdown begin. Sega's grand return is upon us.

Geee you really are a one trick pony, aren't you. Having been comprehensively pwned as RayTracer you now predictably change names and are continuing to ask that old, stale question.



Anyway on to this "incredible revelation" that Zach Morris "exposed". So it seems that Imagination Technologies are planning to incorporate the Caustic Ray Tracing techology in to their PowerVR GPU at some point in the future and that by some incredible coincidence they are referring to it as "PowerVR RTX".

Congratulations! A tiny weeny part of Zach's BS is actually going to come true thanks to a coincidence!

It doesn't exactly take a genius to figure out that ImgTech would eventually want to combine RayTracing tech in to their PowerVR GPUs. I seem to recall that I said that ImgTech would probably plan to incorporate the 2 in the successor to the Power VR 6 architecture.


2 facts remain:

Fact One:

The Power VR6 chip will be a DirectX 11 /OpenGL 4 compliant chip and will use the rasterization based system to generation the images. The fake specs that Zach Morris created that claimed Sega would use a Power VR 6 and a Caustic Two/Caustic One RTU is BS.

Fact Two:

There is still no evidence that Sega is going to be using ImgTec's technology in their next arcade system and there is no evidence at all that Sega is planning to release a new game console either. Until one of the major video game websites start to report that Sega is planning a new game console I will continue to consider these so called " console rumors" to be BS.

1. The blog is NOT run by the real Zachary Morris. Thats pretty obvious since someone is already impersonating YOU there.

2. I doubt this is RayTracer. Dan Kuso is a username that has appeared on every single FGN incarnation. If he doesn't spam the forum with blog enteries from the fake site, he ain't RayTracer.

3. It doesn't take a rocket scientist that the new board RINGWAVE will be powered by The NEC Power VR 6 GPU. There were plenty of reports and realible sources stating that SEGA had locked and contracted Imagination Tech to design next gen graphics for thier hardware. While there's no concrete proof the new board will use Power RTX, There's plenty of proof Imagination Tech is doing business with SEGA and is still under contract by them. Thus RINGWAVE and its speculated console variant FUTURA will certainly use Power VR 6.

Really? What are these "plenty of reports" and "plenty of proof Imagination Tech is doing business with SEGA" that you refer to? Which US, European or Japanese mainstream gaming or technology websites have reported that Sega and ImgTec have signed a contract? Where is the press reports from Sega and ImgTec reporting this information?

Indeed I do.
Little story:
I actually believed nearly everything that segaleaks or whatever the original site was called was posting Even since I saw what their prediction about SEGA's console would be AFTER the one being rumored right now. I Would check once a day for updates and get excited for every big update. I would get slightly annoyed at stu for his comments (Not at all anymore) Since he kept on calling it B.S.
Then as time went by, I slowly kept on disagreeing with the posts. The only one I trusted a bit over even slightly was Heneda. Mostly because I haven't seen much of him.
Then when they started posting pornography on nearly EVERYTHING (Including the one with the Japanese Tsunami), I just declared everything on the site trash. I still read the articles occasionally to see where it would lead.
Then I stumbled upon this site.
I still read these rumors to see what they will eventually conclude to, but I don't really believe any of them anymore.
