After listening to everyone complaining about Cannon Spike's gameplay in Dreamcast Junkyard #109 (thanks SpaceHoliday), I'm convinced that more is needed. I'm considering some kind of roguelite map randomisation (think Binding of Isaac'?) and finding powerups, but on the other hand I don't want the project to blow way out of scope and join my vast Smaug-like horde of unfinished games. Any and all suggestions appreciated
Probably two or three rooms of enemies then a boss spawn might extend and give variety to canon spike formula.

I've just played your demo. It was really fun. As I like canon spike or xenocrisis, I would also think to keep the game simple. Maybe add a second attack or charged shot. I also liked the "money" you can collect in xenocrisis to buy upgrades between levels.
