Dee Dee Planet Beta Released!

Post by pcwzrd13 »

It's been over 20 years but Dee Dee Planet is finally available for all to play! It's currently only available in GDI form but I'm sure someone will make a CDI soon enough. The download link is below. Huge thanks to the dev that sent me the GD for preservation! Also thanks to SiZiOUS and japanese-cake for the advice on ripping the GD.

First heard of this game a few years ago and was sad to learn it was cancelled/unreleased. Thank you for rectifying that :)

Also, I talked with Blue Crab earlier today and he said if the binary has the strings "DreamCast Port Map. Copyright SEGA Enterprises. 1999" and "DreamCast Lobby Server. Copyright SEGA Enterprises. 1999" in the binary then it is most likely using the same online framework as PSO and Chu Chu Rocket. I see those strings buried in track15 ;)

Brilliant. hadn't heard of this at all till this came about but I'll definitely be giving it some air time.

Cool thing! It's like "Death Tank" - but this time on the Dreamcast, not the Saturn 8-)
Thanks a heap!

I did a brief connection test and it tried to connect to the Dricas authentication server, which is the first thing PSO does as well.

How did pso circumvent the authentication process? Dream library does the same thing. I don’t know how to bypass the Dricas handshake. Thank you PC. You're a god

Great to see this preserved, thanks PC!

Hopefully we'll see it online some day.

It's just a shame the game looks so damn unattractive.
