Hey guys
I have two questions related to the Wii
1) what's the best 3rd party component cables? I got a generic one for 4 dollars and it was OK but it got ruined after I tried hooking it up to a CRT television (no, I'm not an idiot; I didn't put them in the composite inputs; this was a CRT with component inputs). I am wondering if maybe it was due to the quality of the cable. I am wondering if there is a better one out there, because Nintendo's costs like 18 bucks or something.
2) Is there any way to bypass the region lock? I wanna play me some Japanese games

Re: Two Wii Questions
For #2, I'd suggest softmodding it. A relatively easy way is the Super Smash Bros Brawl exploit. I don't have the exact tutorial I used, but it involved putting something on an SD card then reading it through the stage creation menu in the game.

Re: Two Wii Questions
I've already softmodded the console, and a Japanese gamecube game actually started up and everything. It just stopped a fraction of a second after the menu screen comes up.

Re: Two Wii Questions
Have you tried Devolution? I think it might bypass the region lock...
