I see. Would be interesting if someone can get the JP modem working again. Daytona USA Circuit Edition had online play on JP modem (And it's more easier to find than the CCE NetLink release!). I might be getting a Japanese Saturn soon, which I hear is compatible with the US NetLink, but I'd be unable to run any US games without resorting to modchips.

I might try that out in the future. Daytona USA CCE NetLink would be fun to play. I watched your Youtube video earlier this week and both it and Sega Rally Championship NetLink look fun.

Does anyone know if the officially-branded Sipura SPA-1001 work for this NetLink setup?

If its unlocked and the software is identical id say yes

The firmware looks similar to the Linksys firmware, except different names. I might try it out next month.
