alright, some updates (probably not worth bumping, but anyway):
- regarding DCJAM demo, unfortunately I don't think I will be able to meet the deadline. As you already know I do have something playable for sure, but I don't want to release it in a "rushed tech demo with poor presentation" state. So I deeply apologize to those who were waiting.

- as for project's "status update", right now I'm busy with preparing assets and (minor) code refactoring.
Aside from this, here is preview of some other features I've implemented:

a quick question: should I post all updates here or only major milestones? Just so I know if it is annoying to bump the thread without big news.

I could imagine that it'll help to keep you motivated if you post everything you think is worth showing without waiting. Also bumping the thread is good for the general attention. Members like me, who don't visit DC-Talk on a regular basis will discover it more quickly.
I enjoy every little piece of update, even if I'm not commenting on everything.

I have an idea for your game . You obviously don't have to take my idea. That's your choice.But I think an online leader board would be perfect for this game. Like getting points for each enemy you kill . And after beating the game start over but with a hard mode giving it an arcade feel. The online leaderboard could be like the one in Sturmwind another Indie Dreamcast game.

The online leaderboard could be like the one in Sturmwind another Indie Dreamcast game.

I've thought about something like this, but honestly, I could care less about online features on the Dreamcast. But I'll see if its doable later.

Or put trophies inside like Pier Solar or Sturmwind.

There might be something like "achievements" and\or other unlockables.

But personally, I think this is not exactly kind of stuff that I should care about if I want to increase replay value. More on this later sometime.
