Ripping a MIL-CD with Discjuggler

I ripped a MIL-CD game with Discjuggler. The game rips fine and plays in an emulator.

My question is about the size: The cdi is just 17Mb. When check cdi releases for various games I see various sizes, but a lot around the 700-800Mb mark. Do people add dummies to these releases? And are the dummied releases only needed (or better) for burning to play on a real Dreamcast?

Yeah, with a dummy file and proper file sort, the files are pushed to the outer rim of the disc. The Dreamcast loads files faster from the outer rim versus the inner section for some reason, I'm not sure if this is the case with CDs in general or just Dreamcast

The idea is that the Dreamcast can read more data with less disc revolutions when the data is pushed out to the larger part of the disc, increasing load/reading time. This also causes the laser to have to move less up and down the disc when reading different bits of data so it may help the lifespan of the laser A BIT over time.

I probably won't play the game that often (I mostly play originals), so I think I will keep it small then.
