can you burn PSO and play online?

I did some searches but had trouble finding anything specifically helping me so sorry if its somewhere posted. I already own it but my buddy doesnt and if he can burn it instead of buy it thats be awesome!

I've been wondering about this, too, tbh. I can't help but wonder if a Mil-CD with an optimized load order would desync when connecting to a GD-ROM.

It should be noted that you'll need a legit serial number and key to register on Sylverant, use server features such as cloud backup and the friends list, as well as participate in special events. Regardless of whether you choose to play using a burned copy or a legit copy, I do recommend buying a legit copy for the serial and key.

I do have pso version 1 and 2 as well. I should register on sylverant one of these days.

I agree that you should pick up an original copy on eBay to get original serials, especially since the USv2 disc is cheap.

Playing with a CD-R that has fast loading and doesn't require a boot disc is a nice way to use those original serials, though.

But aren't the serials either:
1. Unprotected and universal, and thus can be distributed as text
Or
2. One-use only, turning used copies into coasters
?

I mean, serials usually fall into one of those two categories, so...

I can registry on sylverant with a pso v1 key and keep playing the v2 backup?
