Multi region piggy back mod - HELP

Could someone give some advice please?
I've soldered my new chip in ( on top of existing one)
I don't want a switch so can I hard wire it in without a switch before I load the software? Or does it need a switch??
Are there any advantages to being able to swop between multi region and PAL with a switch? Am I missing something lol.

I would imagine without a switch you would be getting both at the same time. (Edit: Which I can't imagine working, but I know nothing about these chips specifically, I've been surprised before.)

How come you are not wanting to use a switch?

Advantage of the switch is you can choose between the two. Rather then one or the other full time.

No idea if you need a switch for the flash process, been too long since I did that. But afterwards if you only want to use the piggybacked bios, you don't need a switch. Just connect everything as if the switch would be in one position, without the switch...

Hi!
Sorry for the late reply, to flash the chip there are 2 ways:
-Flash alone the chip with a epprom programer and replace the original bios with it.
-With the 2 epproms connected to the console and the switch... IE boot in normal bios Dreamshell, go to the program that flash and swith to the empty epprom, at this moment you can write on the chip and store a custom bios, a different region, a Dreamshell boot loader...
