Modern TV's handle both PAL & NTSC signalsmazonemayu wrote:Aren’t Aussie tv’s PAL?
oww...if there's one console that shouldn't be played on a modern tv, it's the n64...it looks terrible, even the PS1 looks better because at the very least that supports RGB. I suggest you get the n64 modded for better video outputmkandersson1082 wrote:Modern TV's handle both PAL & NTSC signalsmazonemayu wrote:Aren’t Aussie tv’s PAL?
True that, it's not ideal with the default output. I do plan on picking up a HDMI converter at a later stage, however. That being said it couldn't be any worse than the PS2 running over composite cablesmazonemayu wrote:oww...if there's one console that shouldn't be played on a modern tv, it's the n64...it looks terrible, even the PS1 looks better because at the very least that supports RGB. The struggle was real before I invested in HQ component cables for my PS2mazonemayu wrote:Why would you use composite on a PS2 when it does stuff like RGB & component natively?

Be careful using a clone ED. The voltages I hear are wildly unstable on those devices and will eventually kill your N64.
