That is great, but the cheap SD adapters are still picky. I read on SWAT forums a while back that it's class 6 or bust. Class 10 to be certain. Off brand SD just don't play nicely.

Well may not of seen the news but sd card speed on dreamshell has doubled or more with the new driver

Every serial sd adapteris a fickle POS. They require the best of the best SD cards, bar none. I wish it weren't so.

You can find beta build instructions on the main gitlab page.

There's a completely different structure between alpha and beta. You can't rename the ELF, you need to copy the repository anew and build from scratch. If you have an old folder structure, the naming will be off. And the executable will not dupe the conversion programs properly.

Snes4all is more optimized than dreams es. I will post both in my post. Will have a breakdown for SSD/SD/hd users and gemu

There are no SNES emu with full speed across the board, only specialized images with optimized settings for specific romsets. I don't recall them off hand but I know I've seen them.

well I got mame fully working but the rom set is meh... almost don't want to include it in the post - i do have a full mame romset I could update it with but i'm not sure its worth the effort viewtopic.php?t=13356

And finally.. looks like older emulation needs to be done on an sd card with this setup gdemu has no issues i believe because it loads slower so it is able to load properl

nope nevermind after some more testing ssd doesn't work as well as a spinning drive consistently gets hung up in areas. Not sure if the ssd is too fast or what. The IDE also glitched out in certain areas so I wouldn't say its flawless .. it has its quirks and we cannot save to a memory card as it doesn't detect one. I would happily pay for a bleem license if it meant a significant improvement over the free or whatever release this is

so it wasn't ssd or ide issue its just trying to move too quickly between loading initially and hitting start

recap: im using a dreamcast with a GDEMU and a copy of phanasy star online v2. I am using a dream pi kit bought from the dreamcast live website. it is set up and connected. I used web browser 2.0 so set up the connection as instructed. I try to go online I use the codes included in the copy of pso I have then the codes for v2 it asks for that I don't have but found online. I appear as online on the website but never actually get into the game. it sticks at the loading screen, and disconnects.

ah, hi? so hey, can anyone help? I just got my dreamcast set up online and tried to connect to PSO and like... it connected but then stuck on the loading screen and canceled out. am I doing something wrong? my setup is an actual dreamcast with a GDEMU cuz disk drive died and a copy of PSO v2.

I tried to use a cdi to iso converter with out much luck . GDEMU just plays the CDI so that was my logic behind that

my lack of development knowledge on DC i think is limiting me as I don't know much about the memory location options along with the loader options so its been trial and error going through settings one by one
