New CRT

So today I picked up another B&O MX 6000, after breaking my back getting it to the attic and some fine tuning, I’m once again a happy camper

Indeed, the 6000 and 7000 are my favs for old consoles, everyone always keeps going on about Trinitrons, but I’ll take a B&O over those, any day of the week. Super fine scanlines

does that tv use the short cathode ray tube technology?
i'm watching some google pics atm, and it seems

btw, always great to put the hands on some working crt's
well, yes apart the eventual hernia side effect lol

i'm still in negotiations with a friend also retrogamer, for a 32" Panasonic
until he drops the price

Yes, one of the main reasons I want nothing else, is the fact that they support everything: PAL, NTSC-U, NTSC-J, 50 & 60hz. i have consoles from every region hooked up to it, and they all just work. That combined with the quality of the tube, its size (they aren’t nearly as bulky on the rear as its contemporaries), plus its incredible sound system makes it an allround winner imho

They pop up on a regular basis over here, I try to keep 1 or 2 in my basement as a spare, just in case
Only downside is that most sellers seem to know they are very wanted by retro gamers, so they aren’t as cheap as 10 years ago, but still won’t break he bank, considering the quality you get for your money.

Lookin good. I tossed out my flat screen 720p/1080i 32" that cost a grand back in 2000, and weighted 200lbs, in around 2006, and I haven't picked up another one yet. Still have my 1084 commodore monitor that looks awesome, but is I think 13"? Also, a broken Aliens Extermination arcade CRT I'd love to repair and a working D9400 in a 29" neo-geo candy cab set up as a multicade, but I'm dying to get another CRT for my gcompsw console setup.

Congratulations on your new CRT buddy! You're livin' the dream!
