In case you don't already know, Sega yesterday officially confirmed what "Orbi" is via an official Youtube channel. It's an computer generated, interactive zoo that's going to be based in Yokohama, Japan

It may not be the next SEGA console but it looks pretty darn cool nonetheless! Thanks for posting it!

What is sega's role in this? Are they operating the brick and mortar building/zoo service? Or are they just supplying some multimedia devices/making the software for the zoo which is run by a different company?

It's actually called "Orbi Earth" not just Orbi.

The new facility is called "Orbi Yokohama" .

Its a partnership between bbc and sega. As the website states: sega will provide their technological expertise, while bbc will provide their extensive nature content.
