Hi everyone, I bought a Saturn today and it will arrive during the week.
I saw there is a way to play burned games and homebrews by flashing a memory card or action replay cardtridge with a program, I understand that the name of this custom software is "pseudo saturn".

My question is, the seller that I bought the saturn from (a jp saturn) is gonna send me one of this memory cards with the saturn, can I use this to flash it and put the program for running the games? thanks in advance!

Yes you can, but the “memory” part will be taken up by pseudo saturn, so it’ll just function to boot games, you can’t use it for saves anymore

I just typed pseudo saturn into ebay and grabbed one of the red carts with the label on. I'm just not very technically minded so it was easier to pay for someone to do it for me

Thanks for the information, I'll try to set it up in a few days then!

Yeah, the problem is that I live in Chile, so buying things from eBay is usually not an option, I've gotta figure out a solution with what I have at hand, good to know that people sell those ready to use anyway, so thanks :)

I'm trying to flash the memory card right now, but there is an error, are you sure this memory cards can be used to instal pseudo saturn?

I don't think memory carts support flashing to Pseudo Saturn. You need an Action Replay cart, or you can buy one of those red Pseudo Saturn carts that are all over the place these days.

now that I have taken a closer look at those carts, you need an action replay for it to work

Q: Can I install Pseudo Saturn Kai on official memory cartridge ?
A: No : only boot cartridges (Action Replay, Memory Card Plus, Game Shark, and their clones) are compatible with Pseudo Saturn.
