Whats the BEST Mega Drive game?

Ok so I have a 40+ collection of Mega Drive games and so far my favourite is probably Xmen 2 Clone Wars... but I know for a fact that I haven't seen even a small percentage of what it has to offer

The majority of my games for the console are platforming or general action/fun games. Games like all the Sonics, Ristar, Strider, Alien 3 etc etc, here is the list of games I have on it:

2 questions then;

1st: whats your choice for best out of my collection

2nd: what game would you say is the best that I haven't owned and therefore played?

depending on rarity and what not I would be tempted to add some to my collection, are there any games out there considered classics that I've missed?

1) I wouldn't know as I haven't owned/played every game in your collection but I've always had a soft spot for Ghouls & Ghosts
2) Junction, a hard as fuck & very unforgiving puzzler

I was just about to say isn't that on the Saturn but then I realised I'm getting confused with Guardian Heroes lol... is it any good?

I have Ghouls and Ghosts cartridge only and don't think I have ever actually tried it? lol

Why don't you own any of the Streets of Rage games? Get SoR2. It's better than 1 and cheaper than 3. SoR2 is fantastic. It's frantic, technical, and the music is so good that it's actually copyrighted.

Of your collection, I'm kind of jealous of Comix Zone. I've wanted that game for a while.

lol to be fair this collection is a "Re-Collection" I had Mega Drive and Master System etc in the late 90's but sold them all for a ps1 at "Cash Converters" back in 98, so what I have now is not my original collection but its close, I DEFINITELY had SOR2 when I was younger and when I bought all this back what started me off was a console bundled with about 20 games, I guess I never got SOR2 again... kinda played it a lot. I'm bidding on the following on Ebay after peoples suggestions:

Wrestle War (not a suggestion, I had it before; Nostalgia lol)

1. Have to say Sonic 3 +Knuckles. but I haven't played many of those others either.
2. I'm partial to Castlevania. The Genesis(MegaDrive) version was really good.
I also liked Contra Hard Corps (or Probotector or whatever the MegaDrive version was called), Shinobi 3, and Disneys Aladdin. And I second Streets of Rage 2 and Gunstar Heroes.

Yeah, Bloodlines is great. I should have mentioned that too, actually. The visuals and effects are gorgeous. Gameplay is tight as well.

I third Gunstar Heroes. Treasure games are always good.

only problem with this stuff is that some of these games are ridiculously priced or priced more than I care to pay. I could get Mega Turrican from the US for about £20, I could get Gunstar Heroes for about £20, I could even get a couple others for not too bad prices but at the moment with my financial situation I can't justify buying things for those kind of prices... I might look into Contra, see if I can find that cheap

Keep in mind the Mega Drive version is censored.

Buy the Genesis version if you do...
