PSO V2 Single Player

Is this good training for what to expect in multiplayer,or is it better to jump right in?Just a little anxious about showing up to a party 16 years late.I have never played the game even once.Supposed to have a copy showing up from Amazon today.

Either is good. Id say do a few missions in offline mode, as it gives you a bit of a tutorial. Although most you could just figure out on your own. When you load up in offline just walk up to the counter and talk to the NPC. She will start you on a series of easy offline quests that offer you a quick tutorial.

PSO is a a easy to pick up and play game, that runs deeper than expected in mechanics. So just a handful of missions offline and you will feel like a pro.

Thanks again, all.Yeah,I'm just checking out a couple of the offline missions at the moment.I thought this game would be way more complicated than it actually is.Having fun killing stuff/finding stuff.Pretty easy on the eyes, too.

yeah, the colour scheme is very nice, I play a lot solo also, but usually online as you find more rare stuff (better weps & protectors & stuff there 1 you level faster.

and don't forget to feed your mag the proper stuff. what class are you playing?

Good choice for a first char, they are though but have no magic. So always stock up on healing items and a scape doll or 2 (those will recive you once when you're killed). Racast is also better with guns than melee weapons, so get yourself a good gun & you can level from a safe distance at first :p
Best to raise a power mag then (you don't need to raise mind or dexterity as you only need those on force chars and you don't have any magic anyway so raising that would be a total waste). Feed your mag monomate till it's lv 50 then switch to dimate till the end. You'll do a lot of damage if you raise it that way. If you want it to have more defense, you can feed it teimate in stead of dimate, but there's really no need and that's an expensive feeding pattern.

Oh yeah, and should you decide to play online, be sure to hit enemies at least once before the stronger chars finish them off, you'll share in the exp that way, a good weapon to get this result is anything that has a wide shot (5 way), it's lower on damage but hits anything at the same time. Make sure to carry your regular weapon and a spread on the side so you can switch quickly between em when needed.

Good luck

Hey,thanks for the help.I didn't know about the scape dolls and definitely wasn't sure what to give the MAG.I've just been dumping random things into it.Maybe the dragon and I can reach some sort of agreement now.
