I was wondering if the broadband adapter could some how connect to a dial game, is it possible? There are a lot of dial up only online games and if the broadband adapter could connect to them it would make it easier to get online as well as make people more willing to connect online with the Dreamcast as well as lower the price for the bba to maybe. I know there's some great guys on here that could maybe make that happen, just think if it were possible. A lot more people would be online playing these games making the Dreamcast community bigger as well as the fans for these games bigger

Nope. It's not possible without the game's source code.

So how I vision it, it would be like is you take one end of the ethernet cable and plug it into the bba and the other end into a adapter that has a ethernet port and one with a phone line port. Then with the phone line you plug one into it and the other into a dial up wifi modem or plug it into a dial up usb modem and plug that into the wifi router you have to get the dial up speeds on your bba. That's my crazy idea and don't know if that would even work or be possible

Doing that is pointless when you can just use a DreamPi to connect to the stock modem that comes with every Dreamcast for free.

Haha! I get your point but what about the people that only have broadband adapters? It would be great if they could join the dial up players/games. Just think if you were still able to get broadband speed when you play broadband compatible games and get dial up speeds to when you play games that are dial up only, it would kinda be like the bba would act like a bba and modem to all in one! Best of both worlds!

Every Dreamcast comes with a modem, so there isn't anybody who only has a BBA, unless you bought an incomplete Dreamcast, in which case shame on you. ;)

Your missing the point thought, there's some advantages over a modem like the faster speeds and when you playing online for example Quake 3 doesn't always run best on a dial up connecting and with broadband you don't need to worry about that. And like long quest in PSO like Halloween Horror you can't finish that quest on a modem, it disconnects halfway through the quest
