The official Japanese Light Gun DOES work with US systems. It just doesn't work with the US versions of most light gun titles as it locks the accessory out.
So for example if you run Japanese HotD2 game on a US Dreamcast system, the Light Gun will work

Speaking of Japanese light gun games (hopefully this isn't too off topic), with Death Crimson 2..it has a feature that uses the mic to record a custom voice when taking damage. Has anyone tried this? It can be very entertaining

Found this particular light gun about a month ago at local store. Sadly I had to return it because it was not responding at all.

i wish someone would figure out how to hack this controller to work with original ntsc games instead of having to use the JP or PAL Region Games...
