Which was my point, when I said there are collectors in the warmer (or colder for that matter) parts of the world too, most folks are just too paranoid about it, been collecting games for over 30 years now, and I have yet to see my first game die on me (unless I dropped it, but that doesn’t count  ). I used to be able to see my breath, when I was playing games on my grandma’s attic during winters in the 80’s, but my stuff always kept working ;)

Well that has reassured me a bit, especially considering stuff is already going up :)

I have an unfinished attic that gets wild temperature swings. It would basically be like me storing stuff outside to store things up there. I would imagine that the paper and plastic used in the game manuals cases and discs would get brittle after awhile from the temperature and humidity swings.

I live in the tropics. I store my games in my dreamcast box and put it on a table. And I keep them far from cold walls, heat and such. Storing them in that box, has really protected my games.

Higher tons way cooler than floor (my poor 24 S1-S8 box chewed herself up and my huge projection TV I left outdoor under roof then decided for her to go the jacks been corroded -.-)

But I do have many things in box on floor and they stay pristine, must be cuz the wrap blocking out the humidness the scorch

Yeah, wrapping on boxes and stuff, really does good wonders.
