So, this leads me to believe that the beta colors were simply for testing different regions...

bleem.com wrote:As most of you know, at the very last minute prior to mastering, we discovered two versions of MGS in Japan that we'd never seen before! Rather than hold up The US, Spanish, UK, German, French and Italian versions of B4MGS, we decided to make a US/PAL version instead, and release a version for Japan separately. We apologize to our Japanese friends and anybody in any country who wants the JP version of bleemcast! for MGS, but it'll be just a little while longer. We plan to master both an MGS-only version and an INTEGRAL release, with support for all the VR missions, as soon as testing is completed. Thanks for your patience.

It appears that the bleemcast beta testers were @ corporate only? at least one worked remote??

bleem.com wrote:NOTE: We have been receiving a large number of emails from people interested in becoming beta testers. All of our testing is taking place at our corporate headquarters in Los Angeles and we currently have no open positions for beta testers. If you send an email to become a beta tester, we will not respond and your email will be sent to the recycle bin.

A few other cool things...

Hold the hell up! A Japanese only Bleem release? This never came to fruition did it? I have never heard of any Japanese version.

We obviously now know that Integral disc has been patched to run from the official Bleem disc for MGS that was hacked to skip disc check.

viewtopic.php?f=30&t=10881

But, if there was another MGS Bleem boot disc out there, it might have different compatibility if the disc check was hacked on it. Meaning possibly other games could work from this potential disc if it ever did exist. I will err on the side of caution and say that is a no, as I am pretty positive I would have known about it by now.

Edit: Um, on that link deluxux posted, I found this compatibility list that was a dead link. However waybackmachine has a capture of it from 2004. Some stuff may be posted on there that we haven't seen yet? I know you have to scroll down the list until you even see the A's.

Maybe this will help you on your quest to make more Bleemshell games deluxux?

I don't think it ever did have a Japan version. Probably just resellers.
