For the 2k series, as I said on another post, the solution would be to make an audio track which allow to have 45000 in LBA for the first session. this will allow you to put the game data directly from the .GDI without having to touch the 1st_read.bin ;)

Also I still think that nfl2k series games use blowfish encryption simply based on the file named BLOWFISH.BIN LOL


All visual concept games,
the echelon's isos run with full sectors as standard games ?

well from what i remember i was putting together this cdi that would have tons of apps on it.
i was going to call it dreamapp, (cheesy name) maybe I could be more creative.
i need to find a backup of the last version i put together.

some of the apps like action replay, and codebreaker would boot but would load messed up gfx. (more than likely they have some protection?)
dc-ie is interesting too (can't figure it out)
then i was going through some of belokk's cdi's, some were a bit obscure like some internal sega trainer app and a few other things.
belokk added protection to his cdi's to not allow extracting data.
the goal was one cdi with damn near all of the apps available that could fit on a cd-r.
this included homebrew and a few retails.

at one point i was going to add dreamweb to this as well..idk?
nfl2k1 is odd, i don't think any1 has ever made a cdi of it outside of echelon.
blowfish.bin leads me to believe it uses blowfish enc lol
not saying that i would have any idea howto even decrypt it.
i wanted to make mods to nfl2k1 i.e stadiums, uniforms, teams etc.
basically its the stuff i have never learned to do.

dc-ie i can get the actual correct bin.
action replay & code breaker load messed up gfx.
sega trainer loads on emulator not on real hardware.
nfl2k1 who the hell knows?
thats all i can remember, i'm probably leaving out some stuff?

ya, i know its alot to take in.
i tend to post long rants.
do you want me to find the cdi and send you the bin's to look at?
maybe give me some advice on howto make this stuff work?
i mean i have no idea about this type of stuff, its way over my head.

that means alot to me, that you took the time to check this.

did you extract dc-x bin? (the versions i have are in a weird format)

dc-ie, gs, cb all load messed up gfx when using ginsu or dreamon etc. (also tested all those odd cheat disks : planet w/e vol1,2 , dc karat, game guru, might be a few others..same issues)
utopia 1.1 and bleem blue beta will load fine with ginsu or dreamon. (1.2 did not load)

**need these modded to load from ginsu/dreamon without messed up gfx. (dc-ie,gs,cb,dc-x)

*megavolt explained howto get the 2k series games to boot.
turns out they are data/data that load at 0 lba.
or whatever lba they are set at i don't remember.
all you do is extract the raw data (echelon, kalisto) and you don't binhack anything.
then build data/data cdi.
i've never seen any dc game do that but allegedly it is common.
always thought 45000 or 11701/2 was standard.
that is odd that it even works..but, it does lol

he also explained the dc dream movie disk the one that is not gyplay, xing hong etc.
that the bin is hidden in an audio portion of disk or something like that.
basically when you view the disk the data that is shown is fake.
all the sdk stuff that shows on that iso is not really the actual data needed etc.
other dc games have this recently implemented to make it harder to copy data.
not saying i could figure all that out but it is interesting.

I couldn't make it out either. belokk's other repack is what I used. He just renamed the main BIN to a text file. But that other release of his is weird. Every file is 1kb?

You can load another loader from GINSU that doesn't use GINSU if that makes sense. Kind of like DC inception + adds a couple MB's but it works with these BIN's.

Like track01.raw? Wish I knew. Wasted SO much time trying for the Karaoke addon..

Nice, they load your awesome dream library mod. :)
CB loads without gfx issues.
Does it work on real dc hardware?
If so I might update dreamapp with it.

When I tested this stuff on dreamapp...emulators would run the bins, but real hardware would give weird results.
Either scrambled gfx or one bin would work and then after exit to menu the other would not work.
This was using these types of loaders : dreamon, ginsu, or the homebrew dreaminducer. (never tried dreamkey, planetweb)
If I remember correctly a couple of the bins were scrambled.
I don't remember which ones, and some would show as unscrambled but were actually scrambled etc.

Having all of these apps on one disk is the goal.

Yes, I think one of them has an .exe as well?
Belokk did something to his isos to stop them from being extracted.
It might be intentionally create crc errors? like making bad sectors by creating long filenames or something?
or filenames with weird unicode characters? idk?
maybe you can mod toc to do something like this?
i've never tried any of that..hell if i know?

i thought this would be good to do on sdisos.
since they are 0 lba and can be easily modified, (open with 7z or w/e)
maybe create crc errors to not allow the sdisos to be extracted/modified?

I think so.
There was a thread here that was about dc dream movie player and megavolt describes the method.

Maybe try to mod dream express to be used as a multimenu?
There might be another jp disk that could work as well.
Or some odd browser with html edited to load bins similar to dreamkey, planetweb.
