Peter Moore interview with Dreamcast Junkyard

Hope this is OK to post here (please remove if not). Thought this might be of interest to Dreamcast-Talk folks, my colleague James and I were recently able to speak to Peter Moore about his time at Sega during the Dreamcast era. We also had some great questions from listeners (some you may recognise from this very forum!). We have put the interview out as a podcast and a video on YouTube, which can be accessed at various places.

Blog: https://www.thedreamcastjunkyard.co.uk/ ... moore.html

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpqwRpkhxZA

Podcast: https://thedreamcastjunkyard.buzzsprout ... er-special

If it's not the done thing to self promote, please feel free to remove this post!

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks to the Junkyard. Really enjoyed that. I don't agree with all of Moore's decisions but I get the impression he faught hard and gave it everything.

The Dreamcast Junkyard has always been viewed here as our really good brother down under. This was excellent!

This was a great interview. Awesome episode. He mentioned that he lives in Santa Barbara, CA and so do I..

I'll have to try and look him up and see if he wants to come to the house and play some Dreamcast

Surprised me he talking about companies getting paid to launch games on the Dreamcast. In my gut I always believed that soul calibur was a paid project, but the ones he spoke about were a surprise.

Peter Moore is our guy!

Always wondered though, would it be possible for SEGA to hold the guns until 2000, save money and make a direct competitor to PS2 with DVD player and better specs. I mean, SEGA would still lose the fight as they didn`t have enough muscle, but it may wouldn`t have been such a disaster as it turned out to be and we could see one or two more SEGA consoles.
