Resident Evil gaming series are quite good. You should definitely try them.

seven mansions is a really good japanese only horror game that got a fan translation, blue stinger is my favorite horror game on the system though, i play through it pretty often

There's also Draconus, even though it's not pure terror, there are still several monsters to defeat

And there's the zombie revenge too, very good.

Or my mod using complete radquake engine with mip pvr dma and proper sound and cdda evert map rebuilt from src and quake c not your normal half assed thing 3 months work
