He meant to have a version that is the most perfect, that has the most data on it.

You know the 99MIN Perfect version of Shenmue 2 that Smith made? The same idea as that, but to not downsample any videos or music.

If I may ask for something game_player_s, then please upload the complete content as is somewhere.
You can still create bootable media. The thing is that other people might find different things interesting in the content of that HD, than what is necessary to get this to run on a DC.

For example there is a project that has been going on for several years now, trying to recreate the Dark Engine (Open Dark Engine) that ran System Shock 2 and the Thief games. And a bunch of modifications have already been made to System Shock 2, even to the executable (like 32bit rendering and arbitrary resolutions), though no source code has been found yet.

Your find might help us to get a better understanding of the game's inner workings and allow us to make even better mods. It would be great if you supported this by sharing what you found.

Amen brother! Just keep your damn head down solder, so you can play some more DC when you make it back home. ;) Btw, what branch are you serving in?

But I think game_player_s might be too busy with work or something to get this out to the general public. I reckon that the longtimers like Smith, Tux and Vasily just to name a few, would take precedance over the ones that can't contribute shit, like me lol.

But anyway, the guy's over at DC Junkyard seem pretty excited about this too, so maybe we can find some skillful coder with a Dev box to get Thief 2 bootable?

Yeah guys, I'm just busy with work right now. All kinds of high level talks going on regarding how to expand the company and what not and I'm involved in alot of these talks. Plus I'm ridiculously way behind on my normal job duties for reasons outside of my control at work.
