Japanese cake dev kit bios?

Hi guys, Thinking of getting the JC dev kit bios installed on my console, pros or cons anyone?

I have a PAL machine so would I only get a blue swirl on startup unless I do region change? Was looking to swap for an orange swirl. Would a region change affect any of my TOSEC games on my GDEmu?

Thanks! Any help appreciated!

With that bios you can change the console region swirl color from inside the secret menu in the options screen of the Dreamcast by pressing Start button. It shouldn't affect the compatibility with games. HOWEVER, that v1.032 bios still has issues with GDEMU. I spoke with JC recently about a month or 2 back asking if we would ever get an update to his amazing bios. He said he hasn't worked on it for over 4 years since 2016, but he would look into it. For right now your best bet is just continuing to play with normal default bios. I have to as well.

He also recently moved his old blog over from livejournal to blog.io. He also has a Twitter account you can keep up to date on all of his current projects.

He is also going to be releasing versions of the 3 retail Bleem emulators SOON with all protections removed so we can use it in other projects and it will finally work on GDEMU and other backup devices.
