Pre-Orders will be opening sometime next week. So if you were considering getting one, that would be the time.

After reading the latest GDEMU post, looks like he could be ceasing production of GDEMU after the next couple of batches  Hopefully not though...

It's such a shame that there doesn't seem to be any company willing to produce these for him. If Stone Age Gamer were to make these, people would have a much better shot at getting one.

Im suprised they don't. Considering the failure rate of the laser, you'd think they would jump on the opportunity. Maybe they will change their mind.

There is a open source project is in active development by one of Dreamcast gurus Marcus Comstedt http://mc.pp.se/dc/gdromemu.html
And this one may take gdemu place since it is opensource you can see and use all information about it. Reports at assemblergames states software needs more polishing but he is working on it and you can see it at github page https://github.com/zeldin/iceGDROM

Maybe there are more project like that one, im just dont monitor that...

stoneage gamer is probably weary about dealing with any type of gd-rom emulation hardware after the drama they went through with mnemo and his usb gd rom. who knows???

http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/stoneagegamer-and-mnemo-fiasco.60581/

it would be great if more options were available to those that would like to purchase a gd rom emulator.
more open source projects would be good also.

if all else fails you can always solder an ide cable to the dc mobo and run dreamshell off of a cd-r.
if your laser is dying, swap it with a pc cd rom laser.

i know most people want an easy solution.
they dont want to solder or mess with any modifications.
either way im glad pre-orders are back.
