Create an account at sylverant.
Sylverant main website > account

Go to the server lobby and type:
/friendadd <guild card number> <Nickname>

Example:
/friendadd 10723 mazonemayu

Next go to the account section on sylverant , put your username and pass, select friend list and then a table should be displayed containing your GC#, your friend GC# and status (online or offline)

was good playing yesterday Kireek mate, brought back memories lol. So this friend command thing, the name I have to enter is your name as it appears on this board right? so for you it would be "K_I_R_E_E_K" right? so then you go to your sylverant account and it can show you a friend list and which are online right? the other thing I wanted to ask which I forgot was about the character backup online thing, how do you do that again? cheers dude

The nickname is your choice, it's a name that you can recognize easily, you can put a random word, but then after 1 or 2 months you will forget who is that person.
On the website you can see info of who is online and where are they, if you are ingame and a friend joins/leaves the server, a message in green or in red will be displayed, so you will know without going to the website if i have just joined the server.

You have 2 ways of backing up, either save the game on another vmu (i have a youtube video on it) or you can go to the server and use the folowing commands

/save [slot] -- Save the current character data to the server for backup purposes. [slot] is required and can be between 1 and 4 (inclusive). This command can only be executed in a default lobby, not a game lobby.

/restore [slot] -- Restore the character data from the given slot on the server (saved previously with /save). Be careful when using this command as PSOPC doesn't seem to like you restoring a character that isn't the same as the one you came on the game with. [slot] is required and can be between 1 and 4 (inclusive). This command can only be executed in a default lobby, not a game lobby.

Example:
/save 1

Let's pretend you corrupted, then you simply go to the server and type
/restore 1

It may take a few seconds, after it's done i believe you will reload in the lobby automaticly, quit and save afterwards.

wicked thanks mate, ok so I will try and test both out tonight, think I might go with the save to another vmu option though I've never tried that before with DC PSO saves. cheers again

Heya mate, just to let you know I've followed the instructions for the friendadd think and although it works on the DC I cant see a list on Sylverant website... just to point out that it doesn't appear to work on there atm.... cheers

Also, keep in mind you have to register your serial number/access key on the Account page on the Sylverant site as well. However, if you are using a "shared serial" (i.e, if you're not using a serial that you personally got in a REAL copy of PSO), it is against the rules to register that SNAK to your account.

I reserve the right to ban people who disobey this rule, as the page for registering SNAKs states. Please don't make me actually have to go and do that, that's all I ask.

ok so hang on I didn't know I had to register my key as well, or what you guys call a SNAK, I still use the exact same key and serial that I got with the game and used 10 years ago so do I just add that to my account? Ok I will give that a go, thanks for the advice.

Oh and Kireek (slight off topic-ness, sorry!) , I got my mate working last night, if your around tonite or sunday morning we will be online for a game?? let me know if your interested and I'll let you know rough times.
