you should know that there is a issue when playing using a pc-dc server. sometimes you cant see a player. this player may or may not also be using a pc-dc server.

You need to use dial up or PC-DC server. Sometimes there is connection issues with the two gamespy games. Bourke28 can't connect to 4x4 but can on Starlancer. Similar issues are reported at the OC.

I couldn't connect to master server but Xlink could. Apparently after it gives up on trying to connect it lets you direct ip connect. It worked too. We had a good game and Xlink won. lol
