Gamespy support is back!

Post by FuzzyFish »

Thanks to a finding by one of our coders, we were able to point anyone connecting to play 4x4 Evo to the openspy.org profile server. As a result, 4x4 Evo is now one step closer to being 100% functional online.

All that is left is to fix track queries.

Great news! I never really used the GameSpy features (although I logged into my account anyway) but it's always nice to see functionality restored.

This is an extra feature in the game that has been down for over a year, it's used for providing public profiles, notifications, and a friends list.

That's one more game to jump on the open spy bandwagon.

Basically all it really was is it gives you a friends list within the game and kept you within the feed on where everyone else was. I know this because I used to play a lot of games online with the PS2 back in the day and it pretty much worked the same.
My Steam Profile (from SteamDB)
