Well... I've been playing this game A LOT recently trying to set time trial records on speedrun.com
After going back to arcade mode I managed quite a big improvement down to a 2'51"533, despite some sloppy driving on the brick wall town course. You can see the full run here https://youtu.be/POrfb1btp5Y

Decided to get the party started on the global events 1 leaderboard. My best attempt... so far is 1'18'288.

Btw if you'll need to set your Saturn's internal clock date to Dec 25th, 1997 or the game will not give you a code.
