Thank you all for responding. I seem to still have the same "verifying" issue when I try to log in. I did open 13139. Could this be a port issue or a Netopia issue?
Most issues should occur in the actual gameplay phase (where player connects to another player), not the inital connection. That is pretty much only outgoing TCP connections, should not be blocked or needed to port forward.
I should check if the gamespy DNS addresses is resolved correctly, don't know the Netopia setup but I guess you need to type in the DNS server somewhere.

Do you have the DNS set on the Dreamcast or on the Netopia? I believe the DNS on the Netopia takes priority.

I would have ask the same thing since this is all I have at the moment. I'll be upgrading soon, but I would want to connect sooner than later so I can take advantage of the Netopia while I can.

This is a combined info for starlancer & PBA
6500 UDP (Query Port) <-- If you are hosting
2300-2400 TCP/UDP (Dplay)
47624 TCP (Initial TCP Connection)
13139 UDP (Custom UDP Pings) <- Only used in PBA
I haven't checked the ports for PBA gameplay but my best guess is that
it is the same as starlancer/gamespy. But UDP port 13139 is crucial
for p2p gameplay in PBA.
Thanks for getting all that =)
Port forwarding settings for ALLL required games needs to be more clearly displayed right up front on sites where people can see it. instead of getting lost in topics of posts and comments all over. People can't find this information easily for each game.
Now from what I've read up it suffered the same fate that Alien Front Online server's did back in 2002. Let's not go too crazy here especially Daytona USA 2001 wasn't panned as a good game anyways.
