Will the Rpi powerblock work with dreampi?

Will this power switch for the raspberry pi work with dreampi? It would be a nice way to shut down the rpi.

other than the obvious.. whats the difference between that and pulling out the plug?

Unless I linked the wrong one I though it sent a command the rpi to go to a safe state so the shut down the rpi will not corrupt anything. Plus there is a switch instead of a cable to unplug.
