Dreamcast Now! Update

Post by kazade »

Hi!

Just a heads up that I've pushed a partial refresh of the Dreamcast Now! site: http://dreamcast.online/now/

It's now dynamic (no more refreshing!) and only displays online people for speed. I'll restore some of the stuff that got lost (flags etc.) over the next few days.

Never understood why it displayed players offline. Maybe show who was resently playiung. Makes more sense to just show the online profiles Nice job!

It was largely because when I first launched it - there weren't many people :)

Also I just haven't had a sec to fix it until now.

I partly agree. I liked being able to see the active user base number on the right side.

Would it be possible for it to have a toggle to show offline players as well, kazade? I think it can be useful to see when players were last online and what they were playing -- I often like looking at what games are popular.

Also, FYI, might be unrelated but the Planet Ring icon is showing as MSR for me (even though the background image is correct as Planet Ring). The last 3 game icons are actually incorrect for me also. Not sure if this is a known bug?

It’s great to see Dreamcast Now! Getting updated. I think recently online is very important. It is useful to see who has recently been online and playing what.

I dont think offline users is needed, but recently online is important I think. It shows there was someone who was interested in playing, and the chance they will jump back on increases.
