I've never had the misfortune of needing to use cellular service for gaming; I'm just relating problems that other people have had in the past. YMMV.

I was only saying that I use my phones Hotspot while traveling for work (when at the hotels). I have not had many major problems playing online, but have only played PSO doing so. My main connection at home is still through an ISP, like AT&T. I would strongly suggest that for full time online gaming, as I do feel that there are delays in PSO on my hotspot over using my homes ISP.

But @sega1Dream, you said that if you’re standing still, and you know you’re in a good area, and it’s not uber-busy, you should be fine with Cellular. There’s noting intrinsic to the Dreampi that it will not work at all on cellular.
Think really rural area whose fastest land speed is 1.6 Mb/s in, 400 kb/s out. Not urban hotels when visiting another city..
