information from russian forum with same problem

When attempting to connect to a quake 3 network game, open arena or any on the id3tech engine, the router rebooted
The problem was solved by installing the latest software dated 12.08.2011

IT WORKS! yeah!!!! my DIR is a E5, but it had a firmware update that was not instaled, it was kind of hard to find the firmware update since almost no one is using this router anymore, and also the automatic update system of the router doesn't work, it allways says that it is already updated.

Yeah and if you're advanced you could just install proper firmware OpenWRT or DD-WRT as the russian forum says ;)
