Thanks

You want to go no lower than 390 ohm. I've seen over at the online console community that a 330 ohm would work just as well.

I just bought a raspberry pi for this (and retro pie, and kodi.. xD).

Does it work with planet ring? I plan on using it to improve the server. I'd like to add it to that "online list" I just saw.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll have it here and I'll start setting it up.

I had a laptop exclusively for the dc-pc server and it is a pain in the word to set it all up for it.
Nice try you fool! lol BBQ!

It should work for every game with modem support. It would be really great to get the microphone working via DreamPi

That's going to be difficult. Indiket made a rerouting program that redirects the voice packets to the right IP. But it doesn't quite work well.

The game gets an ip (which on a dc-pc or dreampi) it is the local one. So it tries to send the voice packets to the other person's internal IP(ie 192.168.X.X) , hence why it will not reach its destination.

Could a program be developed on the Pi similar to how cmailserver behaves here? viewtopic.php?f=42&t=7844

Or maybe try IP spoofing on the Pi so when the game client gets the IP info, it always gets the external IP of the Pi?

I can't speak for Kazade, but I'm sure he'd add the program to the DreamPi image

So basically the IP address of the Dreamcast is assigned by the Pi via PPP. Theoretically I think I could give it your external IP address but it would make the DC un-addressable from the network (I don't think that's a problem) and it may break stuff on your network... I'm not sure..

Is it possible to start the spoofing when it receives a certain sequence of packets from the planet ring server? I'd imagine changing it for everything would cause problems for other games. Just an idea
