Sonic Adventure Is Back Online!

I'm very happy to announce that Sonic Adventure's World Rankings feature has been restored and is online once again!

All credit goes to Jial for reverse engineering the CGI program. He put a real lot of work into it. Credit to S4pph4rad from assemblergames.com for providing us with backups of the HTML code on the frontend of Sega's old World Rankings, without it the original wouldn't have been able to be replicated nearly 1:1

The Sonic Adventure website was also recently overhauled to load all images from disc, and added music like the original by Sega (or better?)

To use the newly restored world rankings, simply use DreamPi DNS 46.101.91.123 and use the "Internet" option in the Main Menu of Sonic Adventure as normal

You need a Dreampipe BB account to upload rankings. This is needed for username and e-mail since the Sega login once saved to flashrom is now defunct. Registration from Sonic Adventure has been tested and working

If you have the PAL version of Sonic Adventure, music will not load on the website due to the game files being in a different folder name. To solve this issue, here is a CDI of Sonic Adventure's browser only

Very cool! I'll have to see if I can match my contest-winning Emerald Coast time from the Dreamcast Live competition a few years back. It's bee a while so I'm probably rusty.

Edit: Uploaded my Emerald Coast score! There appears to be a glitch when you hit the back button on any of the World Rankings pages (and by "back button" I mean the one on the webpage, not the browser back button) and try to go back to the World Rankings. It will just direct you to DreamPipe with an error message saying the page doesn't exist. You have to go back to the game and then open the browser again.

This is one of the reasons of why i love the Dreamcast community so much,if it's possible to revive SA2 online functionality,that would be MINDBLOWING!

There seems to be a bug where it only displays the newest ranking. We could not test with multiple rankings until now. So standby as this is fixed, in the meantime besides for the displaying all ranks it still works for those that want to try it before this bug is squashed
