PBA Tour Bowling 2001 Is Back Online!

I heard about this earlier today. This is really awesome Jonas is doing this. You kinda have to commit to this and grind for many hours a day to make as much progress as he had in this amount of time

I'm pretty sure this wasn't online for very long after it was leaked, so we're virtually going to be among the first to play it. Or rather this is it's actual official launch, which is really cool in itself

Just a tech note: I managed to get online with my PC-DC set, but this game, instead of using PAP or MS-CHAP-V2 auth, it uses the CHAP authentication method (it is the first DC game that I see that, maybe cause it was a "leaked" version or not finished...).
How about the ports? Does PBA need to open any specific port like "The Next Tetris"?

This is so cool! I remember when this game got leaked and people discovered that it was actually playable online, heck even though it was never released it was playable on its official servers long after many other Dreamcast servers closed shop!

I was able to connect the game (Netopia method) and it allowed me to get to the player name and "Logon As" menu, but that is where it gave me a not registered message. Do I have to be registered? Do I need the 8.8.8.8 as well? Is there a generic password? Is there a port that needs to be opened? Is the Netopia method friendly with this game/server?

You need to use "pass" as your password. User registration hasn't been implemented yet.

This is a combined info for starlancer & PBA

6500 UDP (Query Port) <-- If you are hosting
2300-2400 TCP/UDP (Dplay)
47624 TCP (Initial TCP Connection)
13139 UDP (Custom UDP Pings) <- Only used in PBA

I haven't checked the ports for PBA gameplay but my best guess is that
it is the same as starlancer/gamespy. But UDP port 13139 is crucial
for p2p gameplay in PBA.

Thank you all for responding. I seem to still have the same "verifying" issue when I try to log in. I did open 13139. Could this be a port issue or a Netopia issue?
