pcwzrd, it could have been my fault...i am using a vpn to open my ports since i have cgnat internet....apparently the location i selected on my pi had an issue and the ports were closed....so bascially dmz wasn't working....later last night scriviani helped me figure out how to choose a different openvpn location in my pi and it worked...he and i were able to play several races

Nah, wasn't you ncman. There was a bug that caused the server to go screwy (to get all technical ). It may have been caused by one player who joined my game after I had already pressed start to begin the race. Players aren't supposed to be able to join at that point so the server didn't know how to handle it. Shu is going to work on implementing more error handling tomorrow.
