Hi Guys,

New member here but long time Dreamcast user!

I'm in the middle of buying all the equipment I need to get Dreampi up and running.
I have a raspberrypi already and have installed Dreampi software. Just waiting on my USB-Dial up modem and line voltage inducer arriving.

Probably a stupid question but do I need to have DreamPi fully up and running and connected to the dreamcast, with USB modem and line voltage inducer cable, before I can configure my username for Dreamcast.online. My Rasperrypi is setup and has an IP address on my network but get the following error

"Detection Failed!
We were unable to detect a DreamPi on your network. Please enter the IP address of your DreamPi in the box to continue with the configuration."

Sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find an answer.

You'll need at least the USB modem as DreamPi won't start up without it. Dreamcast Now won't detect the Pi until the DreamPi software is fully booted.
