repairing a power supply?

I know is not worth it, I know the best idea is to buy a new one BUT I want to repair my power supply.

I'm having the usual reset problem with the PSU, but I've done every fix I've found online without much success: cleaning the pins, putting some solder on the pins, bending the pins a little, cleaning the plug, etc. so I think the connection between the PSU and dreamcast is fine, the only way to make it better right now would be to solder it together.

I thought that it might be a good idea to recap the whole thing just to check if that could be the problem (just because the caps are always the problem with every single sega thing) do you guys think it is a possible solution to it? sadly my multimeter doesn't have the option for testing caps.

Prolly best bet should not cost much to do.. If you care about light gun games.. replacements create noise that stops them working pico etc

I've been playing Shenmue Definitive Ed. for most evenings this past month with some junk from China. No problems so far :)

Even the original Sega PSUs are still made in China, If I'm not mistaken?
