Dreamcast Dreamarena Controllers - Finally found some clear legit pictures

Post by killer-elite »

I was on my Facebook account on Dreamcast Group and saw someone had upload pictures of the mythical Dreamarena Online Only Crystal Controllers...I have been searching for years for clear pictures and have only found a pictures of the front and never the entire controller...A few notes I never noticed they had a NTSC/U like sticker on the back and also the controller ports are grey unlike the Japanese counterpart that matches the crystal color of the controller... I will leave these pictures here for future reference and prosperity...enjoy

I have the green variant which I ordered through Dreamarena, I didn't realise they were so rare. I recognise the yellow and red controllers, was there a fourth colour, I can't remember? I assume it was blue, if it was I would have ordered it instead of the green but I don't think it was available.

I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I've got 2 of the yellow Dreamarena controllers. I also still have the box for one of them, it has a sticker on it denoting the colour of the controller inside.

dang yall are some lucky people, those PAL colored controllers are like unicorns...Happy to have finally seen some with my own eyes, after all these years I was starting to think it was a hoax or a inside joke but they do indeed exist

Does anyone know the actual value of these? I've been trying to find out definitively for ages, I have a green, orange and yellow one, all NEW in the original box, brought from Dreamarena back in 2001 and put into storage. I think the blue one sold out before all the others, which is why I didn't pick that one up, and have never seen it since. I put the orange one up on ebay, I know the asking price is stupidly high, but not knowing the value I didn't want to let it go for too little, I will happily take reasonable offers (not £12 like some cheeky bugger put): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166256570337

I guess you can ask any price you want, however it really comes down to how much someone is prepared to pay. Normally you can search ebay and select SOLD items to give you an idea of the current value but if there are no recent listings, then who knows. All you can do is list it and see what happens. If it doesn't sell in a month or two you can always reduce the price. Having make an offer might be a good way to get some interest and then they can come to you with some figures to consider.

As yours are boxed and new, they should command a higher price. Whether or not they are worth several hundred pounds is down to the individual.
